ONG Azafady is an independent Malagasy NGO and the partner organisation of Azafady UK. Azafady UK is a Registered UK charity, based in London with three full-time staff and numerous volunteers. It is governed by a board of trustees. ONG Azafady employs some 60 local staff, all experts in their fields who are responsible for implementing Azafady projects on the ground as well as providing information for regular reports in line with every donor's individual requirements. They are supported by Azafady UK's in-country representatives who facilitate project development and provide a link between the two organisations. As part of its work Azafady in the UK and Madagascar also collaborate to run three volunteer schemes; Pioneer, Azafady Conservation Programme (ACP) and Short-Term. ONG Azafady has four interrelated programmes – community health, construction, sustainable livelihoods and environmental conservation – each underpinned by educational work with a variety of projects sensitively built around what are directly expressed as the most pressing needs of disadvantaged communities. In the pods below you will see the people who run the various aspects of Azafady's work.
